Lynda, Thanks for reading my poem! I feel like I'm having the experience you described right now, I'm finding myself again through making art.

A wonderful poem and commentary, Sybil. The poem has an immediacy to it that I can't explain, and your words are wonderful and in wonderful form to describe both your physical and spiritual process. Just the right amount of detail, and description, and economy of form...

What a great post! I'm glad you were spurred to write this.

I remember myself in college, kind of looking for "the truth," looking for answers, looking for ME, as if I were off somewhere around the track or in the woods. When I realized one day with a giant "EUREKA" that I was there all the time, right where I was! The "me" I was looking for, was right there inside me, but I had been too busy looking outside myself, to notice....

Thanks for sharing this wonderful post!

Richard, thank you for your very kind words about my work and welcome! I enjoyed your poem for the Abbey as well. Finding enlightenment where we are instead of searching outside is a powerful concept.

Dear Sybil, You are a true artist, and now you can add poetry to your list of media/forms. You've captured your work in words - well done.
