The Gabriel Guild is an artist collective dedicated to the
preservation and continuance of Medieval and traditional art techniques.
The Gabriel Guild is run by Sybil Archibald,
Maureen Biagi and
Karen
Gorst. Together they present educational programs, research and
write about traditional techniques including manuscript illumination,
panel & Icon painting, and gilding, and create traditional art
supplies for sale.

Ave, the Gabriel Guild newsletter focuses on traditional and
medieval art techniques. It contains technical recipes and trouble
shooting tips as well as insight into the symbolic and spiritual
meanings embedded there in. Ave is now published on the web
occasionally.

Art Supplies
The Guild produces a variety of traditional art supplies made from
extensively researched ancient and medieval recipes. Kits are also
available to support traditional artists in deepening their
understanding of technique.
