All
things in this world are mirrors which reflect, however imperfectly, the Divine.

Altars
These altars began as a
spontaneous installation to explore a traditional face of the Goddess: The
Virgin Mary. Some of them were built by digging into the earth to
find the clay layer to sculpt from, some with plaster. The beads, money,
candles etc. are offerings left by people passing by.

The Stigmata of St.
Francis (his feet with aloe)
represent how the insults, injuries & wounds of our lives can be healing. In the
stigmata are the chaos & pain that are often necessary for us to enter into for
healing and transcendence. In St. Francis' life, the power of his wounds gave
him the power to begin a major transformation in the Catholic Church.
